2020 seems to be starting off pretty big for NC native Shawn May. His “I N D” imprint has added New York MC Jay Cinema (pictured left), producer Yanna Monteiro (pictured right) and artist Big Flowers. According to the Charlotte artist, “It was about time to get my team up.” Let’s see what we know about these upcoming artists!
Jay Cinema
Cinema is a NY based MC, affiliated with fellow NY artists such as Adé Hakim, KingCarterSlums and others. Deeply rooted with that side of music, he’s put worthy material the past year, singles like “Regrets” and “Sit Tight”. He’s recently announced a small EP release, “Staring At The Sky”, definitely something to check up on!

Yanna Monteir
Monteiro is a young producer hailing from CT. She’s only got one track on her music page in which she linked with May for the 2019 tribute to fellow Charlotte rapper LORD JAH-MONTE OGBON aptly titled “JAH-MONTE SHIT”. Definitely impressed with the overall production, she’s a mainstay to look out for. She’s working with several artists releasing in the current months.

Flowers is a NY based musician/artist. Spanning in different talents, he’s worked closely with several artists in the area, mostly artistically though his production is very potent. I expect to hear more as the year goes on.
