The Year Of Social Distancing
First off, I hope you and your family are doing well and staying safe in this crazy pandemic time! Start us off with a little background about yourself.
My name is Courtney and I’m a professional photographer in Topeka, KS.
Have you been able to cope well with all that is going on?
Not being able to create new content has been a drag, but I’m trying to stay optimistic.
What are some things you're doing to past the time and keep your mind off the Coronavirus noise?
I’ve been going back to old shoots a lot and taking all the things I’ve learned to try and produce better work.
I feel like since mostly everyone is unable to do photo-shoots with other people or collaborate in bigger groups; it has either, hindered some creatives output totally, or for some creatives it has given them the opportunity to expose their versatility in the "Creative Entrepreneur" market space. Has "social distancing" been beneficial to you or not? Keeping the loss of business revenue aside. I know we're all hurting in that department.
I know we’ve all been hurt in very similar ways in this department. I think lately I’ve been just trying to keep an open mind and focusing on self-improvement.
We rarely dip into the "political world" but curious to know your thoughts on how the Coronavirus situation is being handled?
Thankfully, my state has been very much on top of how they’ve handled it locally. They were willing to make the big calls early to help prevent the spread so I’m optimistic with how things are going here.
What is a quote or saying you'd like to leave us with that could help brighten someones day?
I don’t have a quote but I know a lot of creatives don’t give themselves enough time to take care of themselves as much as they should when they’re busy (guilty as charged lol) so I just want to see all of us use this time to reset and collect our thoughts as best as we can for when we get through this.
