Purple’s my favorite color, you know. Well, it turns out Purple is also my favorite release to date from the up-and-coming hip hop artist Wiim. This guy’s got some mad pipes, and paired with the simplicity of the opening naked guitar strums, Purple will have you swooning from the jump. Though this track is obviously my favorite, I wouldn’t want to introduce you to this artist without mentioning his most recent release.

“Heartbroken Heartbreaker,” released on February 12, 2020, is Wiim’s latest. The production quality of this album isn’t quite that of a seasoned professional, but all things come in due time to those who work hard. Am I right? It is clear that Wiim is in the beginning stages of his musical career, at least as far as the internet can tell. I wasn’t able to find much about him online (aside from his Instagram profile), and his first official track, Bag, was released just over a year ago in December of 2018. Newness aside, Wiim has no doubt been endowed with the hustler mentality and will do what it takes to make it to where he wants to go.

As per his Spotify biography, Wiim was born and raised in Orange County, California. His intention is to dance between underground and mainstream styles in order to “bring creativity back to hip hop.” If you enjoy music about lust, heartbreak, heart games, money, and good vibes, Wiim is the dude for you.
