Alright, alright. While I think highly of many of the artists I’ve written about prior, Kaskade is my ultimate dude. He’s the friend you don’t always talk to but you know he’s always there. You can lose touch and still come back together a year later feeling like not one minute was lost. He’s the steady one – the one you can always rely on.

What are some things you're doing to past the time and keep your mind off the Coronavirus noise?
Some things that I have been doing to try and keep away from all the Coronavirus news is I have found a new passion for painting on canvas, and I still try to challenge myself creatively to work on photography work inside or around my house whether it be portraits or just things that I find interesting.

Have you been able to cope well with all that is going on?
At the beginning, I was handling things a lot better. It was easier to keep motivated and working but, as time goes on, it's been becoming a little bit more of an up and down roller coaster ride. There's moments where it feels useless to keep up the positivity but, there's moments where I'm reminded of the complete opposite. But, I think that that is always life in general and as long as I'm here, I try to show all my sides and show that there's still worth in keeping up with the fight. And right now, I think that's so important.

What are some things you're doing to past the time and keep your mind off the Coronavirus noise?
Passing time is definitely the key in all isn’t it? A few of the things i’ve been doing is like i said above and that’s running in the mornings. Right now in Texas its starting to get really hot which makes running suck but it also feels really good and rewarding. On top of that i’ve been trying to engage more with the twitter photography community, i know there are thousands of people, but i know how good it feels to get a like/retweet/reply from a stranger so i’m trying to do that more. Besides that its just a lot of binging shows, playing animal crossing, sending raw files to friends and editing random stuff.

Have you been able to cope well with all that is going on?
As of right now, I am definitely doing alright despite the chaos brewing across the nation. I luckily work at a local grocery store, so I am still blessed with a good paying job. I have also transitioned to all online classes for photography, which hasn't been the most ideal, but we find ways to make assignments work and keep going.

What are some things you're doing to past the time and keep your mind off the Coronavirus noise?
One major thing that’s helping me is learning something new everyday. Since we have such powerful learning tools like google, YouTube, etc, there’s no excuse to take this as an opportunity to elevate your knowledge in whatever your passion is. For example, I’ve been struggling with doing video for a while so I’m watching tutorials everyday so I can eventually add that to my arsenal.

What are some things you're doing to past the time and keep your mind off the Coronavirus noise?
To keep my mind busy during this tough time I’ve made it point to have a routine. Even on the days I don’t want to get out of bed, I force myself to work out every morning, make myself breakfast, and go straight into what I have to do for that day. At first, I took a step back from photography and focused on things I haven’t done in years that were incredible for my mental health, like reading, writing, spending more time in nature, etc.

Have you been able to cope well with all that is going on?
I think this pandemic is really serious and it took a while for everyone to truly understand it’s seriousness. Honestly not being able to go out and do my everyday activities has been hard and frustrating to extent but I like most of us have been finding comfort on the socials. Working and brushing up on some of skills such as editing.
[ Quarantine 2020: Interview With Oreste ]
Have you been able to cope well with all that is going on?
I have been able to cope with this unfortunate situation as best as I can. I am still able to work at my dad's pet supply shop since it is considered an essential business. In terms of being able to work on my photography, it has been a difficult period of time since I am attached to street photography and portrait photography.
[ Quarantine 2020: Interview With Ryan ]
What are some things you're doing to past the time and keep your mind off the Coronavirus noise?
Photography like usual. Just being more creative. I am self teaching myself with softwares so spending a lot of time on them.
[ Quarantine 2020: Interview With Courtney Gunter ]
What are some things you're doing to past the time and keep your mind off the Coronavirus noise?

Have you been able to cope well with all that is going on?
It’s been difficult man that’s for sure.
Like most people my life has been flipped upside down and my day to day is now a dichotomy of what it was a month ago. My schedule used to be jam packed with Photoshoots, Videoshoots, Podcast interviews.

Frank Ocean. One of the most mysterious faces in music this generation. Just when you start to lose hope for him dropping new music any time soon, he quietly releases something. Shoffy
Shofler’s album, Flash, was released today (some days ago, by the time you get around to this), March 13, 2020. You may have already heard “How Many,” “Tricky (feat. Sabrina Carpenter)”, and “I Can’t Help (with Sarcastic Sounds),” as these tracks were released as singles prior to the full album release.
A New Kind of Acrobat with Mt. Joy
Mt. Joy, my love. I forget exactly when or where they came into my sphere, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is that they did. They’ve always brought me a special sort of calmness, a simple joy, a sense of importance. They sing about politics and religion and crushes and real-deal relationships. I only ever write about artists who keep human-ing real, and Mt. Joy does just that.
Music Brought to you on a “Wiim”
Purple’s my favorite color, you know. Well, it turns out Purple is also my favorite release to date from the up-and-coming hip hop artist Wiim. This guy’s got some mad pipes, and paired with the simplicity of the opening naked guitar strums, Purple will have you swooning from the jump.
Something’s on the Horizon for Surfaces
One of my girl friends Cooper Cercy of Cercy Collective (your go-to spot for all things wellness and makeup) is always hooking me up with the best new tunes. Bless the ones whose know music is a Love Language (I’m telling you, those people are the people).
Amine Pays homage to ODB and Portland in new video for “Shimmy”
ODB is one of my favorite lyricists, so naturally I was already excited to hear this song the second I saw the title and cover. For those that don’t know “Shimmy” is in reference to the late rapper Ol Dirty Bastard’s song “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” off of his debut album as a solo artist “Return to the 36 chambers”. This album allowed fans at the time to see ODB’s crazy individualism set apart from the rest of WuTang.
Whitacre Brings the Mountain Rock Magic
Whitacre! Whitacre! Whitacre! I’ve been confidently introducing this band to friends as “White Acre” for about three weeks now, so pretty, pretty please allow me to save you some trouble when I let you know that, much to my surprise, there is only one “e” in “Whitacre.” Now that we’ve covered the basics, let me introduce to you one of Denver’s most beloved Americana bands.
London pop duo "Oh Wonder"
Oh Wonder, made up of Anthony West and Josephine Vander Gucht, has always been a band for the lovers.
